For “Frankie”, Simons IVECO, there have been some major changes.  *Northern Truck Services*, one of our major sponsors, have completely refurbished the gearbox for us and it has been refitted within the race truck with a brand new clutch, thanks to *Clutchfix*, another of our sponsors.  The engine has had a full service too, with the fluids changed and supplied by *FUCHS* of course – a big thank you to them – and with new air filters to from “Ramair” – thank you!  “Frankie” now has a new “lightweight” FIA cab and has been converted to left hand drive too!  This has meant a new dashboard and complete rewire – so everything is now better positioned for Simon to race.  The front suspension has been redesigned, with a “twisted” front axle, as has the rear suspension to lower the centre of gravity.  A new water cooling system for the brakes, intercooler and radiator has been fitted too.  So, a very busy 5 months!  Thanks go to *SCISS* for water cutting the new suspension parts for us !

For “Ovlov” Archies No. 40 truck (still officially without a name) things have been a little quieter.  The gearbox has been exchanged for our spare unit, which has a better ratio combination, and refitted with a brand new clutch, thanks again to *Clutchfix*.  The water cooling system, for the brakes, intercooler, and radiator, has been replaced with new, with several platefuls of “unused” “spaghetti” wiring removed in the process!  A new fuel system has been added to overcome some instances of fuel starvation last season.  Finally, the cab has had a bit of a makeover with  new front panels of a different style, modified doors, and a new bumper / air dam – which all look very smart indeed.

Both trucks have been resprayed with a black chassis and white body work, side panels and rear wings – but you will all have to visit us at Brands Hatch to see what the final “wrap” looks like!!

Again, J H Haulage, Povey Transport and Weavers are helping us get around – so thank you, without you we would be stuck at home in Detling!

THANK YOU to ALL our wonderful sponsors; to the businesses who help us out in kind, or with cash (although we accept cheques too of course!), we could NOT do this without you ALL – no matter how big or small your help – this team of family and friends could not do this without YOU.  YOU made it possible for Simon, and now Archie, and put father and son on the track as much as the rest of this family and friends based team.  THANK YOU. (but we always need more help of course).

Come and see us all, cheer on Archie and Simon and “THINK PINK” at the Circuit if you can – we are always happy to chat and show you our race trucks – unless we are repairing them of course, in which case best to give us some space to work safely.

If you cannot visit the track, then remember to check out the “BARC” live feed on YouTube – or of course on “catch up” later.
